The split shank allows for all day comfort, accommodating to natural swelling and shrinking throughout the day. Crafted in sterling silver with Tyrone turquoise from New Mexico.
The word Ukiyo has carried two meanings across time. Rooted in Buddhist philosophy, it first meant “sorrowful world”, to recognize life’s suffering and impermanence. With time, the meaning shifted to “floating world”, a more positive outlook on life. It means that since life is temporary, we should be focused on the here and now.
In this ring, the two stones mirror the two sides of Ukiyo: the weight of what we carry, and the freedom in choosing how we meet it. A reminder that you can reframe whatever life throws your way. A reminder to live in the moment.
